The "Pays de la Loire - Arts & Crafts" Mission was initiated and funded by the Pays de la Loire Regional Council, within the framework of an agreement with the Regional Chamber of Trades and Crafts. Its purpose is to enhance the development of and promote Arts & Crafts throughout the region.
Activities :
Finding out about companies and their know-how
Both in the fields of contemporary creation and restoration: listing and classifying professionals...The Arts & Crafts sector counts close to 2,000 regional companies, i.e. over 6,000 jobs.
Company development
Training, innovation, design, passing down know-how, exchanging with other professionals, etc.
Supporting local and association-based initiatives
Local Arts & Crafts projects, company information, exhibition areas, cultural tourism, etc.
Promotion and communication aimed at professionals and the general public
Website, trade fairs, exhibitions, etc., namely within a collective framework, both in France and abroad; events such as National Arts & Crafts Day, National Heritage Day, etc.
The Mission works towards helping stakeholders network, namely in terms of innovation (link to the "Quartier de la Création" cluster in Nantes for example).
It collaborates with various regional and national organisations in the Arts & Crafts sector: the Institut National des Métiers d’Art, Ateliers d’Art de France, the Boutiques Métiers d’Art network, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts, the Ville et Métiers d'Art network, the Confédération Française des Métiers d'Art, the Union Nationale des Métiers d’Art, French trade fair organisers and international economic missions.
